On September 18, 2026, the First Department of Urology at the Medical University of Łódź performed its first surgery using the KangDuo® SR2000 robotic surgical system. The department is based at the university’s Central Clinical Hospital at in Łódź, Poland.
The patient underwent a robot-assisted partial nephrectomy to remove two tumours from the left kidney while preserving the organ.
The procedure was performed by Dr Tomasz Konecki, assisted by Dr Roman Łowicki. It marked the first clinical use of the KangDuo® SR2000 system at the hospital.
The procedure marks the clinical debut of KangDuo® SR2000 at another major Polish city and an important step forward for robotic surgery at the university’s First Department of Urology.
